Physician murdered in city
She was a doctor at the capital Green Life Hospital
Police on Monday recovered the body of a doctor from a house in the capital's Kalabagan area with injury marks from a sharp weapon on the body.
Police detained three persons from that house for interrogation over suspicion of murder.
Police said there were three injury marks on the back and throat of the deceased – Dr Kazi Sabira Rahman, 47, a doctor of Green Life Medical College Hospital in the capital.

Her body was recovered from the third floor of a house at Kalabagan first lane of Dhanmondi, said Sub-Inspector Subit Ahmed of Kalabagan Police Station.
Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (ADC) Shahensha Mahmud of Ramna Division (New Market Zone), said police are investigating the matter and the body will be sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy.
"Initially this incident did not seem suicidal to us as three are three bore injury marks on her body. She lived in two rented rooms of the flat as sublet. A girl lives there," said Azimul Haque, deputy commissioner of Ramna division of the detective branch of Dhaka Metropolitan police
He further said the girl who lives in the flat went out for a walk in the morning. Returning home, she saw that the room where the doctor was sleeping was closed. The smoke of a fire was coming out from inside the room. She called the security guard and they opened the room and found the body of the doctor down on the floor.
"Everybody thought that she died from burning. But police found injury marks on her body. We are investigating the matter. We are hoping that we will be able to unfold the mystery of the incident," he added.
Police sources said police already detained three persons for interrogating over the murder. They are: a student who lives in the flat, her friend and a security guard of the house, named Ramjan.
They said Sabira got married two times. Her first husband was a doctor. He died in a road accident. Then she married one Shamsuddin Azad, a banker. She has a son and daughter. She lives at Kalabagan with her daughter. But she kept her daughter in her father's house at Green Road last night. She was alone in her room last night. She had no communication with her second husband.
"I think it is murder. In order to divert the murder, the criminal has created a plot of fire," said Rezaul Hassan, a cousin of Sabira.
