With one AKASH…

Shuvolong in Rangamati, where people roam around, accompanied by a group of clouds. In the tribal villages on the deep hills, a diversity of souls play. One such settlement is Pankhoa Palli in the Kukimon Hills. Bangladesh's red-green flag hangs in the yard of the lone school here. Reading books can provide students with information about the country. By listening to the students' narrations, the local elders were able to get some isolated pictures of Bangladesh. They did not, however, leave the rural area to explore what the rest of the country is like. For the past two years, these people have been sitting at home, admiring the beauty of many areas of the world that make up Bangladesh. Now they are aware of current events and are watching a variety of entertaining programs as well.

AKASH, the country's only legitimate direct-to-home (DTH) service provider, is connecting people from such isolated and inaccessible remote areas to the national and global arena. Because it is so distant from the mainland, grid energy could not reach such remote mountainous or char places. Due to technical difficulties, a cable TV connection could not be established there. Beximco Communications Limited's AKASH, on the other hand, has connected the residents of such places to satellite-based DTH service. It has even also linked the previously geographically separated enclaves of Bangladesh.

A unique time for watching TV in the country has been created due to the launch of DTH service, state-of-the-art technology for AKASH connection. According to the Ministry of Information, Bangladesh Television and cable operators, at present there are more than 2 crore and 50 lakh TV connections in the country. According to Beximco Communications, AKASH, the country's only legal DTH service provider, started to provide its service using the feed of the Bangabandhu satellite-1 in May 2019. This service has been completed for two years recently. During this time, majority of the digital TV connection subscribers in the country are using AKASH. A significant number of people are now watching TV at their home or work premise through AKASH connection .

The initial cost of each AKASH connection was Tk 6,499. However, the cost has been decreased in a variety of ways in order to make this digital link accessible to people of all classes and professions. Customers will appreciate the convenience of the packages. The AKASH Basic and AKASH Regular connections cost Tk 3,999 and Tk 4,499 correspondingly as a one-time fee. Customers that require several connections can purchase multi-connection and building solution packages. For all sorts of connections, there are more than 120 channels with a monthly package subscription of Tk 399 and more than 70 TV channels with a bundle of Tk 249 available. Keeping in mind the growing expectations of Customers AKASH will bring new affordable products in the mind so that more people can enjoy the superior quality of AKASH.
