Soumya Sarkar, Afif Hossain and Mohammad Naim have been called in the Bangladesh Men's Team (Under-23) for the South Asian Games (SA Games) which is set to begin on December 1 in Nepal.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the team on Friday evening. Along with them, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Zakir Hasan and Yasir Ali Rabbe were also called in the 15-member team.
Shanto will lead Bangladesh in the most prestigious sports event in South Asia.
Bangladesh Men's team participated in SA Games 2014 when cricket was played for the last time in the event.
To take part in this year's SA Games, the Bangladesh Men's cricket team will fly for Nepal on Sunday (Dec 1), BCB officials told UNB.
Along with Bangladesh, the hosts Nepal, Sri Lanka (U-23), Maldives and Bhutan are the other participants.
Bangladesh will play their first game of the event on December 4 against the Maldives before taking on Bhutan on December 6. Tigers will face hosts Nepal on December 7 before their last league fixture against Sri Lanka on December 8.
After the league stage, the top two teams will be promoted to the final. The third and fourth team will play a match for the third place as well.
