KSRM to open Chattogram’s Sadarghat Lighterage Jetty 4, tomorrow

KSRM Steel Plant Limited will launch the Sadarghat no 4 Lighterage Jetty for Chattogram port, tomorrow.
The move came after Chattogram Port Authority Chairman, Rear Admiral M Shahjahan, on Sunday last urged KSRM to operate the jetty as soon as possible.
Senior officials from both KSRM and the Chattogram Port Authority will be present at the inauguration ceremony of the new jetty, said a media statement issued by KSRM on Wednesday.

Earlier, the Chattogram Port Authority had taken a decision to build four new lighterage jetties to expedite the unloading of goods at the country's prime sea port.
These four jetties are being built by four industrial groups who received their work orders having bid for and won tenders.
According to Chittagong Port Authority sources, the three other jetties will also be opened soon.
