Bangladeshi make-up artist wins award
She was awarded the ‘International Award Winning Makeup Artist’ by International Beauty Industry
Farjana Rahman Epshita always wanted to be a make-up artist and her parents were supportive of her decision. After completing her BBA from Independent University of Bangladesh (IUB), she planned to do her Masters from America.
Due to her pregnancy, she had to postpone the decision. However, when her son was a year old, she began to look for a degree on make-up to learn more about it. She did her Masters Make-up of Artistry Diploma from Elizabeth Grady Make-up School.
She then did one more course with Lubna Rafiq in London, and then hosted her own TV show in Bangladesh, named 'Tibet Luxury Soap Epshita's Makeover'.
After a series of success, she was awarded the 'International Award Winning Makeup Artist' by International Beauty Industry. This achievement was the result of all the hard work that she had been doing in order to establish herself as a prominent make-up artist.
One of her solo projects, which Epshita is extremely proud of, was an underwater gothic bridal shoot. The unique work won her many praises. Very recently, she worked in 'Mrs. Bharat USA 2019' where she did makeup and hair for renowned Bollywood star Pooja Batra.
With a strong support system of family and friends, this beauty enthusiast is grateful for all the love and warmth that she receives for her work. "My parents and my sister have always been by my side and without them I could not have come this far," said Epshita.
She added, "My father taught me to think big and he always motivated me to fulfill my dreams, I will never stop thanking him."
According to her, doing make-up is easy, but to do it according to the client's vision is not. A make-up artist should always think of their client's needs first, and deliver the best.
She always takes time to talk with her clients while doing make-up, which makes them feel at ease. She also tries to be the best version of herself in her works.
