Mushfiq back among runs for 'A' team
Imrul Kayes scored 60 runs as well. The ‘A’ team beat the HP team by 6 wickets with the help of these two experienced cricketers.
Mushfiqur Rahim has been out of form for some time now. The veteran cricketer scored only 39 runs in the 5 T20Is against New Zealand, two of them were ducks. Earlier, he returned to the country for family reasons after playing only one Test in Zimbabwe in July where he scored 11 runs in the first innings of that match. He was not in the Australia series due to bio-bubble issues.
The wicketkeeper-batsman could not accept himself with such an unfamiliar look with the bat. He quickly started practising while everyone else was resting after the New Zealand series. He went back to his childhood coach Nazmul Abedin Fahim and practised a few sessions.
Mushfiqur decided to play two ODIs against the High-Performance (HP)team for Bangladesh 'A' team to keep himself involved in match practice and get back to runs. It was his decision to immerse himself in the match situation before the T20 World Cup.
The veteran cricketer is successful in his goal. He returned to runs playing an unbeaten innings of 70 runs against the HP team on Tuesday.
