A medical board has been formed for her better treatment and counselling
The student of Dhaka University, who was allegedly raped at Kurmitola on Sunday night, cannot remember anyone, said doctors at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
She is now traumatised and is suffering from respiratory problem, Dr Bilkis Begum, chief of One-stop Crisis Centre of the hospital, told The Business Standard.
"We found several injury marks on different parts of her body, including throat, as she was tortured," the doctor said.
Brigadier General AKM Nasir Uddin, director of the hospital, said a medical board has been formed for her better treatment and counselling.
"We are doing everything for her complete recovery," he said.
Earlier on Sunday afternoon, the victim, a second-year student of Dhaka University, was picked up by an unidentified man after she got down from bus in Kurmitola yesterday afternoon and then was taken to a secret place, where she was raped and tortured.
Later, she made it to the Kurmitola General Hospital by herself early today.
She was admitted to the Gynaecology ward of Kurmitola General Hospital at around 1am in the morning and then was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
