Local laws will regulate business in Bangladesh: Jabbar
BTRC has already issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for Robi which will be effective till February 28 but it will be suspended if they fail to pay the second installment by this time
Posts and Telecommunication Minister Mustafa Jabbar said everyone doing business in Bangladesh will have to obey local laws and regulations.
Jabbar made the remark during a press conference at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC), a day before the three-day-long Digital Bangladesh Fair -2020 begins tomorrow.
Citing the example of the country's second-largest private mobile operator Robi, who paid BTRC the first installment of Tk27.60cr, Jabbar said we have succeeded despite critics who thought we would fail to collect the dues. Jabbar said he hoped other operators will also follow suit.

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has already issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for Robi, which will be effective till February 28, BTRC Chairman Jahurul Haque said at the press conference.
But if they fail to pay the second installment by this time, their NOC will be suspended, he added.
