Truck driver, friend killed by former driver, helper of the truck

A truck driver and his friend were strangled to death by the former driver and helper of the truck on Friday in Sylhet.
The former driver and helper of the truck killed Jahangir Mia, 27 and Raju Ahmed, 25, a computer operator, to take revenge after being fired from the jobs, police said on Saturday.
Police arrested three suspects over the incident early Saturday from different areas of the district and the three confessed their crime, said Akhtar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Moghlabazar Police Station of Sylhet Metropolitan Police.
The arrestees are former driver of the truck Ibrahim Mia Talukdar, 24, his associate Fazar Mia, 22. Both of them hailed from Chuadanga. Law enforcers also arrested Joynal Mia, 23. Police recovered tires of the truck from Joynal's shop in Jagadishpur area of the district.
Police later showed them arrested in a murder case.
Before that on Friday morning, police recovered the bodies of Jahangir Mia and Raju Ahmed from an abandoned truck at Parairochke area in Sylhet.
The police official said Ibrahim and Fazar were the driver and helper of the truck respectively but on January 21, the truck owner appointed Jahangir as the new driver of the truck.
On January 23, Ibrahim and Fazar killed Jahangir along with his friend in Madhabpur upazila while they were going to Sylhet from Dhaka.
The officer-in-charge also said Raju's brother Sujan filed a murder case against the three with the police station.
