Awami League leader shot dead in Bandarban; onlooker dies of cardiac arrest
The injured have been sent to sadar hospital for treatment.
A local leader of ruling Awami League was killed and five other people sustained injuries in a gun attack by miscreants at Jamchharipara in Bandarban sadar upazila yesterday evening.
Out of panic, an onlooker suffered a cardiac arrest and died on the spot.
The deceased were identified as Bachnu Marma (50), president of ward-7 unit of Baghmara union AL, and Bakhrai Marma (63) of the area.

Kyungpoo Marma, UP chairman, said a group of armed men opened fire indiscriminately at Jamchharipara Bazar around 7:30pm.
Shahidul Alam Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said, "We have not yet found out who carried out the attack. But we have recovered the body and sent it to the sadar hospital for autopsy."
