UCEP Bangladesh celebrates International Women’s Day
UCEP Bangladesh students performed thematic choreography to observe the International Women's Day 2020 on Sunday, at UCEP Bangladesh Head Office, Mirpur. The day was celebrated with various cultural performances focusing on women empowerment and role of women in our society.
K. M. Abdus Salam (Additional Secretary) director-general, NGO Affairs Bureau of Prime Minister's Office attended as the chief guest, while Penny Morton, deputy high commissioner, Australian High Commission to Bangladesh was the special guest of the event. ASM Abdul Motin, chairman, Gram Limited, Jitendra Lal Bhowmik, vice-chairperson of Board of Governors of UCEP Bangladesh and Tahsinah Ahmed, executive director of UCEP Bangladesh, along with high officials were also present.
Apart from this, UCEP Bangladesh Regional Offices organized cultural programme in their respective General and Technical Schools and Polytechnic Institutes esteeming this special day.
A non-profit and non-governmental organization UCEP Bangladesh serves underprivileged children, youth (especially girls), women, persons with disability (PWD) and ethnic minority groups- for changing their lives through education, skill development and employment support.
