Amin Uddin president, Ruhul Kuddus secretary in SC bar election
A M Amin Uddin, the Awami League-backed lawyer, has been re-elected as president and Ruhul Kuddus Kajal, the BNP-backed lawyer has been elected as secretary for 2020-21 session in the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) election this morning.
The BNP-backed panel lawyers have been elected in eight out of 14 posts whereas the Awami League-backed panel lawyers have been elected to six posts.
The voting took place on Wednesday and Thursday from 10am to 3 pm. After counting the votes on Thursday night, the results were announced on Friday morning.

A seven-member election sub-committee was formed to conduct this election. The committee was led by senior lawyer AF Hassan Arif.
