Jack Ma donates 30,000 more coronavirus testing kits to Bangladesh
On March 21, Jack Ma announced to donate coronavirus testing kits and emergency supplies to Bangladesh and some other countries to fight the novel coronavirus
The Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Sunday received 30,000 more coronavirus testing reagents from Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation in line with the earlier announcement from the Chinese billionaire businessman Jack Ma.
A special flight carrying the items landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) at 2:55pm, Group Captain AHM Tauhid-Ul Ahsan, director of the Dhaka International Airport told The Business Standard.
With this delivery, the two Foundations have now donated essential medical supplies to 23 Asian countries totalling 7.4 million masks; 4,85,000 test kits; 1,00,000 sets of protective clothing along with other medical equipment.

Later on March 27, Bangladesh government received 30,000 coronavirus testing reagents from Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation.
Besides, China on March 26 donated medical supplies -- including 10,000 testing kits, 10,000 personal protective equipment (PPE) and 1,000 infrared thermometers -- to help Bangladesh fight the coronavirus outbreak.
In the tweet on March 21, Jack Ma said, "Go Asia! We will donate emergency supplies (1.8M masks, 210K test kits, 36K protective suits, plus ventilators & thermometers) to Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan & Sri Lanka. Delivering fast is not easy, but we'll get it done!"
