Two minor boys drowned in a pond at Dolapara village under Sadar upazila of the district this noon.
The deceased were identified as Abdullah, 4, and Yamin, 3. Both were the residents of Dolapara village.
Local people said they drowned in the pond close to their house when they were playing on the bank of it.

Locals rescued Abdullah and Yamin and sent them to Nilphamari Sadar Hospital where the duty doctors declared them dead.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nilphamari Sadar Thana Md Mominul Islam confirmed the incident.
