Participation of women increased, partnership did not: Rasheda K Choudhury
Rasheda K Choudhury, the former advisor of the caretaker government and the executive director of Campaign for Popular Education (Campe) said the participation of women has increased in all sectors, but the partnership did not.
"We need to work on this. Now we want priority, not equal rights," she said on Thursday (13 July) while giving her speech as the chief guest at a conference organised by Naripokkho in celebration of its 40-years anniversary in Savar.
In light of Sustainable Development Goals - 2030, Naripokkho organized this three-day conference to strengthen the women's movement with their participation. The conference will continue til 15 July.
Dr Samina Lutfa, associate professor of the Department of Sociology of Dhaka University said both the struggle and success story of every woman is different and inspirational to us.
300 women rights activists from all over the country participated in the conference.
