One dies at isolation unit of Rangamati hospital
The sample reports of 36, out of 46 sawb samples collected from Rangamati so far, came out and all of them tested negative
A patient, who was admitted at the isolation unit of Rangamati General Hospital with the symptoms of Covid-19, died last night.
"He was put in isolation after he came to the hospital on Saturday with fever and cough," Rangamati Civil Surgeon Dr Bipash Khasha confirmed it to The Business Standard.
"Sample collected from the deceased was sent to Chattogram for virus confirmation test", he added.
According to the hospital, the victim had been suffering from tuberculosis (TB), therefore, in consideration of the predicament he was placed in isolation unit.
As of now, the sample reports of 36, out of 46 swab samples collected from Rangamati, came out and all of them tested negative.
However, 34 people died from the virus and 621 people are infected in the country till date, according to the government data.
