Shakib hails 'winning mentality' of youngsters

Newly appointed ODI skipper Shakib Al Hasan said the "winning mentality" of the 2020 Under-19 World Cup winners will inspire Bangladesh to achieve bigger things in the Asia Cup and the World Cup.

In the absence of the injured Tamim Iqbal, young Tanzid Hasan Tamim could open the innings with Litton Das in the Asia Cup. Tanzid, who played well in the Emerging Asia Cup in Sri Lanka recently, will be keen to emulate that performance in the Asia Cup.
"We are very hopeful about him," said Shakib. "Our duty is to make him comfortable in the dressing room. It's not that he would become a bad player if he doesn't score many runs in 3-4 matches and vice versa."
