Conspiracies afoot to undermine the success of student-led mass uprising: Tarique
He called upon all to remain vigilant against such conspiracies
A well-planned conspiracy is underway to undermine the success and purpose of the student-led mass uprising, BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman said today (20 August).
In a video message, Tarique called upon all to remain vigilant against such conspiracies.
"To solidify the spirit and objectives of the mass uprising, it is crucial to guarantee the political and economic empowerment of the people alongside bringing the ousted anti-people forces to book," he said.
Mentioning that a change in power signifies more than just a shift in state leadership, Tarique Rahman said it necessitates a fundamental transformation of the state and its political landscape.
He argued that to facilitate public participation in state reform and establish a sustainable democratic governance, a government directly accountable to the people through elections is imperative.
