This marks a significant career milestone for Carpenter, as it's her highest-charting album to date and her first to break into the Top 20 on the albums chart.
Short n' Sweet debuted with an impressive 362,000 equivalent album units, according to Luminate, making it the third-largest debut of 2024.

Only Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter (407,000 units) and Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department (2.61 million units, the second-biggest debut of all time) have seen bigger openings this year.
The album's success is bolstered by strong physical sales, with 184,000 units sold — Carpenter's biggest sales week ever and the fifth-largest sales debut of 2024.
