Shakti foundation's hat-trick win at ICAB National Awards
Shakti Foundation was presented the Bronze Award under the NGO category at the 24th ICAB National Award organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) at Hotel Sonargaon Dhaka.
22 organisations under 13 categories, including banks, insurance companies, NGOs, and the manufacturing sector, received awards for best annual reports, integrated reporting, and corporate governance disclosures at the ceremony. Honorable Adviser for Finance, Commerce, and Science and Technology, Mr Salehuddin Ahmed, presided over the event as chief guest.
For over three decades, Shakti Foundation has been working to help the poor and marginalised through microfinance, health, climate change, and women empowerment activities. Shakti has pioneered the introduction of digital microfinance to bridge the gender digital divide and ensure transparency and security in financial transactions. Recently, Shakti Foundation earned the crShakti Foundation has been working to help the poor and marginalised for over three decades edit rating "AA" (Double A, High Safety) for the long term and "ST-2" (High Grade) for the short term.
