Square Hospital celebrates World Mental Health Day
Today, October 10th is World Mental Health Day. This day has been observed globally for the past 75 years, jointly organised by the World Federation for Mental Health and the World Health Organization.
This year's World Mental Health Day theme is "It is time to prioritise mental health in the workplace." It is heartening to see numerous countries, organisations, and institutions worldwide participating in this important observance. In Bangladesh, Square Hospital and other organisations are taking proactive steps to commemorate the occasion.
The primary objective of observing this day is to raise awareness about mental health among the general public. There are many misconceptions, ignorance, and stigma associated with mental health issues in society. Such awareness-raising programs can help to reduce these problems.
To delve into this topic, Square Hospital is conducting various programs, including rallies, CMEs, and discussions involving healthcare professionals, staff, and people from all walks of life. Speakers at the event emphasised the importance of mental health issues in the workplace. They believed that any institution where employees enjoy mental peace can provide better quality services.
