Probe body formed over collision between ships in Karnaphuli
The collision caused the anchored oil tanker to crack at the bottom
A three-member committee was formed today to investigate the collision between two ships at Dolphin oil jetty in the estuary of the Karnaphuli river.
Dr Sajid Hossain, principal officer of Mercantile Marine Department said, Bangladesh Shipping Corporation's ship Banglar Sourav collided with Singapore-flagged oil tanker MT Ocean Winter on September 1.
The collision caused the anchored oil tanker to crack at the bottom.
