The Lord of the Rings animated series trailer released
Warner Bros has unveiled the first trailer for 'The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim,' an animated film that acts as a prequel to the live-action Lord of the Rings movies.
Set to release on 13 December, 'The War of the Rohirrim' takes place approximately 200 years before the events of The Lord of the Rings, exploring the untold story of Rohan's former leader, Helm Hammerhand (voiced by Brian Cox).
The trailer offers a clearer glimpse into the film's storyline, which centres on a fierce battle between Rohan and the Dunlendings. When an arranged marriage between Helm's daughter Hèra (Gaia Wise) and Dunland prince Wulf (Luke Pasqualino) collapses, leading to the death of Wulf's father Freca (Shaun Dooley), Wulf declares war on Rohan. As Helm prepares his kingdom for the fight, the determined Hèra may be Rohan's last hope for survival.
The series also includes the voice of Miranda Otto, who returns to her role as Éowyn, serving as the film's narrator.
