Atletico, Inter confirm Super League exit after 6 PL clubs

La Liga club Atletico Madrid and Serie A side Inter Milan have become the seventh and eighth teams to withdraw from the European Super League, following the six Premier League clubs.

Atlético were the first team from outside England to withdraw.
"The Atlético de Madrid Board of Directors, meeting this Wednesday morning, has decided to formally communicate to the Superliga and the rest of the founding clubs its decision not to finally formalize its adherence to the project," the statement read.
"For the club, harmony is essential between all the groups that make up the Red & White family, especially our fans. The first team squad and their coach have shown their satisfaction with the club's decision, understanding that sporting merits must prevail over any other criteria."
Inter Milan were next to confirm their exit.
"FC Internazionale Milano confirm that the Club is no longer part of the Super League project," the statement read.
"We are always committed to giving fans the best football experience; innovation and inclusion are part of our DNA since our foundation. Our engagement with all stakeholders to improve the football industry will never change."

Atletico and Inter are the first clubs outside of the six PL clubs to pull out of the European Super League.
Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Juventus and AC Milan are the clubs remaining in the Super League now.
