Bangladesh announce T20 squad for Pakistan
The squad sees five changes from the last T20 series against India as Tamim Iqbal and Rubel Hossain have made their return to the side.
Bangladesh have announced their squad for their upcoming T20 series against Pakistan in Pakistan with Mahmudullah Riyad as the captain of the Tigers.
The squad sees one fresh blood included in Hasan Mahmud, the right-arm seamer who scintillated everyone with his pace in the recently ended Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 2019-20.
The squad also sees five changes as Tamim Iqbal return for the Tigers as the opening batsman opted out of the India tour and the earlier tri-nation series and solitary Test against Afghanistan at home.
The other three new inclusions apart from the mentioned two are Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Rubel Hossain and Mahedi Hasan, who made the cut with impressive performances in the BPL.
The five players dropped from the T20I series against India are Mushfiqur Rahim, Mosaddek Hossain, Abu Hider Rony, Taijul Islam and Arafat Sunny. Among them, Bangladesh's veteran batsman Mushfiqur Rahim has opted out of the Pakistan tour because of his family's security concerns.
Also, Mosaddek is out with a shoulder injury and is likely to be fit later on this January.
Despite performing brilliantly in the BPL, Imrul Kayes has missed out on the Pakistan tour as the left-handed batsman is suffering from a hamstring injury.
Another player who missed out was Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who had scored 290 runs opening the batting for Khulna Tigers in the BPL.
