Bangladesh drop to 186th in FIFA rankings
Meanwhile, reigning world champions Argentina continue to hold the top position, despite a surprising 2-1 defeat to Colombia.
Bangladesh have slipped two places to 186th in the latest FIFA rankings published on Thursday.
In an effort to improve their ranking, Bangladesh played two friendly matches against Bhutan during the recent FIFA window. The team, under coach Javier Cabrera, managed a narrow 1-0 victory in the first match on 5 September, but fell to a similar defeat in the second encounter just three days later.
The top ten positions in the rankings remain unchanged, with Argentina leading, followed by France, Spain, England, Brazil, Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, Colombia, and Italy.
