Bangladesh lose 4 rating points with whitewash against Sri Lanka

Bangladesh lost four rating points in the latest ICC ODI Ranking after an embarrassing 0-3 whitewash against Sri Lanka in the just-concluded three-match ODI series at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
However, Bangladesh’s previous ICC Ranking of 7th place was not changed despite the debacle in the island nation.
Eighth ranked Sri Lanka reduced their gap with the Tigers earning three creditable points after winning the ODI series on their home soil after 44 months.
The rating points of Bangladesh was 90 despite the frustrating performance in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, but they are now settled for 86 points losing four points while Sri Lanka improved their rating points to 82 from 79 gaining three points from the series to reduce their gap with Bangladesh by four points.
Earlier, Sri Lanka (79) were trailing by eleven points against Bangladesh (90 points).

Besides, Ireland (51), Zimbabwe (44), Netherlands (37), Scotland (36), Nepal (19), UAE (10) and Papua New Guinea (6) were the other countries in the ICC Ranking.
