A childhood incident that made Sachin a cricketer of unquestionable integrity

We all know about Sachin's first-ever coach Ramakant Achrekar and his influence on Sachin.
Sachin made 24 in his first match for his school. It was a pretty good outing as his team won the match very easily.
But Sachin always remembers the match for a different reason because something happened after the match that completely changed him not only as a cricketer but also as a human being.

In Mumbai, school cricketers used to get featured in a local newspaper if they scored at least 30 runs. In that match, the opposition bowlers bowled many extras and the scorer suggested that he would add 6 more runs to Sachin's name so that he could get featured in the newspaper.
Sachin didn't think much and agreed.
The next day when the newspaper arrived, Ramakant Achrekar was extremely angry with Sachin as he wasn't legally the owner of those six runs. Sachin then promised his coach that he would never adopt unfair means while playing cricket.
The tone was set there and I guess he kept his promise. Sachin later became a legend without adopting unfair means in his game throughout his career.
