ICC brings new broadcast technologies
Cricket World Cup 2019 is set to start on the 30th of June in England and Wales, and so far, it looks set to be a technological marvel. ICC published a press release on 16th May 2019 to reveal the commentary team and the available technological support for the World Cup.
This World Cup will have a variety of technologies to use, which will not only provide the best viewing experience for the audience but also help to analyze the game more precisely. The commentary team consists of 24 members, the commentators will be - Michael Clarke, Nasser Hussain, Ian Bishop, Sourav Ganguly, Melanie Jones, Kumar Sangakkara, Michael Atherton, Alison Mitchell, Brendon McCullum, Graeme Smith, Wasim Akram, Shaun Pollock, Michael Slater, Mark Nicholas, Michael Holding, Isa Guha, Pommie Mbangwa, Sanjay Manjrekar, Harsha Bhogle, Simon Doull, Ian Smith, Ramiz Raja, Athar Ali Khan, Ian Ward.
All the 48 matches along with the 10 warm-up matches will be broadcast live on various media throughout the festive 46 days. And with the technologies ICC set to use throughout the tournament, the audience will get the best possible experience. Not only the viewing experience but the spectators at home will also be able to receive the best analysis of the game as various angles of the game will be brought into light using a variety of equipment.
Viewers will be treated with state-of-the-art coverage via 32 cameras, including 8 ultra-motion hawk-eye cameras, front and reverse-view stump camera and Spidercam.

For the first time, the broadcast will provide 360 degree replays. It will stitch together multiple cameras feeds to create a stunning video that will provide in-depth analysis of big moments in the game.
The coverage will be complemented with an array of analytical and visual enhancements including the use of Player Tracking. Broadcast tools like Hawk-eye will be accompanied by an in-depth cricket data analytics system.
The drone camera will be providing stunning visuals and details across all the venues of England and Wales. A roving Buggy Cam will also be available for a ground-level view of proceedings.
ICC TV is supported by production services partner Sunset+Vine and equipment services partner NEP Broadcast Solutions. Sports graphics specialists Alston Elliott has developed a contemporary-styled graphics package to visualize the ever-crucial scores and statistics throughout the coverage.
