Mohammedan appeals to BCB to lift Shakib's three-match ban
The letter written to the BCB president read, "Shakib Al Hasan, the Mohammedan captain, is repentant for his act. Mohammedan Sporting Club, too, are very embarrassed and sorry for that. We request the disciplinary committee of the BCB to lift the three-match ban, upholding the financial penalty. If Shakib Al Hasan repeats this behaviour in the ongoing tournament, the suspended sentence will be upheld."
Shakib Al Hasan has been banned for three Dhaka Premier League matches and fined BDT five Lakh by the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) for unruly behaviour on the field.
The Mohammedan Sporting Club skipper lost his temper multiple times on the field against a match against arch-rivals Abahani on Friday.
CCDM chairman Kazi Inam Ahmed confirmed the matter in a press conference on Saturday.
But Mohammedan Sporting Club, on Saturday night, appealed to the BCB to lift the three-match ban.
