Shakib's name cut off from ODI rankings
Bangladesh's star all-rounder however last played an ODI on 6 November, during the ICC World Cup in India against Sri Lanka.
Shakib Al Hasan's name is no longer available in the International Cricket Council's (ICC) One Day International (ODI) rankings currently.
According to ICC's ranking rules, a player must play at least one international within a year to be eligible to be part of the rankings.
Bangladesh's star all-rounder however last played an ODI on 6 November, during the ICC World Cup in India against Sri Lanka.
The match involved Shakib invoking a timed-out dismissal against Sri Lankan great Angelo Mathews, which Bangladesh went on to win.
Subsequently, the left-arm all-rounder was also awarded the Player of the Match there as he took 2-57 and scored 82 runs from just 65 balls.
The 37-year-old earlier announced his retirement from Tests and T20Is this year but is still available for the ODI format.
In a TV interview before the ODI World Cup last year, Shakib said he would look to play on till the Champions Trophy in 2025 before retiring from all forms of international cricket.
