United fightback to seal comfortable win over Everton
With this win, United climb up to 13th position while Everton remain 5th.
The past week had been terrible for United. They lost to Arsenal in the Premier League at home, and then suffered a defeat to Istanbul in UCL a few days later. Dark clouds gathered over Ole's future as United boss. Rumours spread about United approaching Mauricio Pochettino to replace the club legend Ole.
United had a statement to give. They did in the best possible way. Away at Everton is never easy, especially under Carlo Ancelotti, Everton are more ferocious than before.
United had everything to lose today. They suffered an early goal through Everton's Brazilian forward Bernard in the opening minutes of the game. But they did come back strongly with Bruno Fernandes scoring a brace within the first half. Luke Shaw's cross found Bruno in the middle as he headed past Pickford to level at the 25th minute, while Rashford assisted the second goal for the Portugese midfielder. Bruno was United's best player on the pitch, which he has been ever since he arrived.
In the dying minute, Everton were chasing with everything they had. But Bruno assisted Edinson Cavani his first United goal to seal a comfortable 3-1 win over the Toffees.
United had more shots on target and had better scoring chances all through the match.
With this win, United climb up to 13th position while Everton remain 5th.
