New Rule on the final set 

There will be a tie-breaker in the final set when the point reaches 12-12. The player who will reach seven points first with an advantage of two points will win. Earlier, the final set would go in the last set till anyone had an advantage of two points. Last year, the last set between Kevin Anderson and John Isner in the semifinal lasted for six and a half hours as Anderson finally went on to win it by 26-24. 
"Our view was that the time had come to introduce a tie-break method for matches that had not reached their natural conclusion at a reasonable point during the deciding set," Philip Brook, chairman of the All English Lawn Tennis Club, said in a statement. He said, "We feel that a tie break at 12-12 strikes an equitable balance between allowing players ample opportunity to complete the match to advantage, while also providing certainty that the match will reach a conclusion in an acceptable timeframe." 

Nadal-Federer seeded in the same half

Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer have been seeded in the same half of Wimbledon 2019. That means, these two will meet before the final, and most probably in the semifinals if one of them gets knocked out in the earlier stages. Defending Champion Novac Djokovic is in the other half, which means either Nadal or Federer will play him, if accidents don’t happen. A Fedal final is long awaited, as they have not met in the final since the 2017 Australian Open. 

15 year old qualifies for the Wimbledon

American tennis player Cori ‘Coco’ Gauff, 15 years old, has qualified for Wimbledon. She is the youngest player ever to qualify for the grass court grand slam as she will face her compatriot Venus Williams in her first match of the tournament. 
Gauff  was born on March 13, 2004 and she secured her spot at the fabled tennis championships with a win in the final qualifying round at Roehampton. 11 players younger than her have participated in Wimbledon, but she is the youngest to come through qualifying.
