"Build Bangladesh in Lego" project among Lego Ideas finalists
The project will be judged against up to 25 other worldwide projects. If selected, it will become an official LEGO set, available in stores all over the world
"Build Bangladesh in LEGO" project by J&J LEGO Creations is now in the finals of LEGO Ideas achieving 10,000 supporters.
The project will be judged against up to 25 other worldwide projects. If selected, it will become an official LEGO set, available in stores all over the world, says a press release issued on August 11.
The project – brainchild of J&J's Juditha Ohlmacher – was launched two years ago as a way of branding Bangladesh in a positive light.
Juditha built models of the Bangladesh National Assembly Building (Jatiyo Sangsad Bhaban) out of LEGO bricks. One was a huge 8,000-piece version, and one was a small tabletop version of about 125 pieces. The tabletop version is the one in competition.
Juditha is an American but she is married to a Bangladesh and has lived in Dhaka for over 16 years.
