ACC begins investigation against World Health Organization regional director

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has launched an investigation against Saima Wazed Putul, the regional director for South-East Asia of the World Health Organization, for allegedly securing a position through corruption. Saima Wazed, the daughter of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, was appointed to the post of regional director in February last year.
