Why is BNP seeking elections this year?

Although the head of the interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, has talked about holding national elections by the end of this year or the middle of next year, the BNP is demanding elections soon. The party wants national elections by the middle of this year. The party will soon bring forward this demand through various programs.
