12-year-old Arafat succumbs to bullet injury from July uprising, janaza held at Shaheed Minar

Namaz-e-janaza of Arafat, a 12-year-old madrasa student who was shot by the police during the July uprising and died on Sunday night, was held at the Dhaka Central Shaheed Minar.
Arafat's brother Hasan Ali conducted the janaza on Monday (23 December).
Adviser Nahid Islam, Special Assistant for the Health and Family Welfare Ministry Professor Dr Md Sayedur Rahman, Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam, student leader Sarjis Alam and Arafat's father Shahidul Islam, attended the janaza.

Arafat was undergoing treatment at Dhaka's Combined Military Hospital where he died from sustaining bullet injuries, said the chief adviser's press wing.
