18 people, 2 organisations nominated for Shilpakala Padak
Eighteen people and two organisations have been nominated for the Shilpakala Padak for their special contribution to the country's art and culture sector at a national level.
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy has decided to hand out the awards for the year 2019 and 2020 combined in 10 categories due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The awardees are Maniruzzaman and Shamsur Rahman in Instrumental Music, Lubna Mariam and Shibli Mohammad in Dance, Hasina Mumtaz and Mahmudur Rahman Benu in Song, Abdul Mannan and Shahid Kabir in Fine Arts, Masud Ali Khan and Moloy Bhowmik in Drama, MA Taher and Shafiqul Islam Shwapon in Photography, Shambhu Acharya and Shah Alam Sarker in Folk Culture, Hasan Arif and Dalia Sarker in Recitation, Cchayanat and Dinajpur Natya Samiti in Creative Cultural Organisation and Anupam Hayat and Shamim Akhtar in Film category.
