8,000 policemen deployed for Chattogram city polls

Some 8,000 policemen have been deployed to maintain law and order in the upcoming Chattogram City Corporation elections.
Assistant Inspector General (media) of the Police Headquarters, Md Sohel Rana, confirmed the matter to The Business Standard today.
The CCC polls to elect the port city mayor, 41 councillors and 14 reserved women councillors is scheduled to be held tomorrow.

Voting would continue from 9am to 5pm at 4,886 polling booths in 735 polling stations.
