Abul Kasem Khan becomes new BUILD chairperson
Abul Kasem Khan, a trustee board member, has been appointed as the chairperson of the Business Initiative Leading Development (BUILD) for the tenure of 2025.
The 36th trustee board meeting of BUILD on 23 January announced the appointment, said a press release.
Abul Kasem Khan took the responsibility of the Chairmanship as per the decision of Trustee Board following concerned Articles of the Deed of Trust of BUILD.
Khan is a Trustee Board Member nominated from Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), and the Vice Chairman of A.K. Khan & Company Ltd. and the Managing Director of A.K. Khan Telecom Limited.
The Trustee Board meeting also welcomed Taskeen Ahmed, President of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), Kamran T. Rahman newly re-elected President, MCCI and Muhammad Anwar Pasha, Administrator of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), and Acting Secretary General Dr. AKM Asaduzzaman Patwary as the new BUILD Trustee Board members.
BUILD is a Public Private Dialogue Platform supported by DCCI, MCCI and CCCI officially providing secretarial support to the Private Sector Development Policy Coordination Committee since 2011 and working for seven thematic public private dialogue areas of specific importance on Trade and Investment.
