APBn recovered illegal goods worth Tk3 crore from Ctg airport in August
The Armed Police Battalion (APBn) recovered illegal goods, including gold bars, worth Tk3 crore in various drives at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram in August.
According to a press release issued by the APBn on Monday, APBn's Shah Amanat International Airport camp, in joint drives with other agencies, seized 3.24 kilogrammes of gold, foreign currency worth approximately Tk51.21 lakh and 3,000 pieces of import-prohibited fairness cream. The estimated value of the seized items is Tk3.06 crore.
Besides, 21 lost mobile phones have been recovered during raids in various areas of Chattogram.
Six cases have been filed with different police stations in the city in this regard.
APBn Commander (Additional DIG) Mohammad Kamruzzaman said, "The 9 APBn, Chattogram will continue operations against cybercrime, counter-terrorism, human trafficking, illegal drugs, smuggling, illegal arms and explosives."
