Bangladesh Navy hands over 46 barracks built for the homeless, rootless

The Bangladesh Navy on Sunday officially handed over 46 barracks built for homeless and rootless people in Tazumuddin area of Bhola district to the local administration.

There are five units in each barrack. Each of the units can accommodate one family. The barracks have kitchen and bathroom facilities. A total of 230 homeless families will get quality accommodation there.
Tazumuddin Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Ashraful Islam received the necessary documents of the barracks from the Bangladesh Navy.
Officials of the Prime Minister's Office, Navy representatives and local dignitaries were present at the programme.
Under the Ashrayan-2 project, the Bangladesh Navy is building 315 pucca and tin-shed barracks in various coastal areas which will ensure housing for 1,575 landless families.
