Brahmanbaria Sadar gets new OC
Prior to this appointment, Emranul served at the detective branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP)
Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Police Station has appointed Inspector Md Emranul Islam as its new officer-in-charge on Wednesday following an order issued by the district police super office.
"Emranul Islam has officially taken the charge this noon," confirmed Additional Police Super (Admin & Crime) MD Rais Uddin.
Prior to this appointment, Emranul served at the detective branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
Earlier Md Abdur Rahim, former officer-in-charge Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Police Station, was transferred and attached to the Ranpur range of police as per the order issued by the police headquarter.
The decision was made a month after the Hefazat-e-Islam supporters and activists caused mayhem in Brahmanbaria centering Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Bangladesh on 26 March.
