Case filed against 62 people including Sheikh Hasina, Quader in Narayanganj
A case has been filed against 62 people including Sheikh Hasina, former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Awami League Obaidul Quader, Member of Parliament for Narayanganj-4 AKM Shamim Osman in the case of killing one person during the Anti-Discrimination Movement.
Shahnaz Begum, wife of deceased fish trader Milon filed this case with Siddhirganj police station yesterday night, confirmed Siddhirganj police officer-in-charge (OC) Abu Bakar Siddique.
On 21 July, Milon was shot dead while going from the Shimrel junction of the Dhaka-Chattogram highway to the fish depot.
A murder case has been registered against the accused in this case.
Notable defendants in the case include Member of Parliament for Narayanganj-4 AKM Shamim Osman's son Ayan Osman, nephew Ajmeri Osman, Shamim Osman's brother-in-law BCB Director Tanveer Ahmed Titu, Narayanganj Metropolitan Awami League general secretary Khokon Saha.
Besides, Awami League, Jubo League, Chhatra League leaders and some councilors have also been made defendants.
Plaintiff Shahnaz Begum mentioned in the complaint that the terrorist forces of Awami League, including Shamim Osman, shot indiscriminately with firearms at around 12pm on 21 July to suppress the movement on the orders of the mentioned defendants.
Milon was shot dead. Later his body was buried in the village house at Dumki in Patuakhali.
