Commuters suffer long tailback on Dhaka-Tangail highway
Ongoing renovation works of the Dhaka-Tangail Bangabandhu Bridge highway have formed a long tailback causing immense suffering to the commuters since morning.
The tailback extended for nearly 12 kilometres from Solla area of Kalahati upazila to Rabna Bypass of Tangail Sadar upazila.
"Besides the renovation works, an increased number of vehicles have put extra pressure on the highway," said Tangail Traffic Inspector Eshrajul Haque.
He said Tangail district police and traffic police have been working to ease the situation since morning.
Traffic would be normal within a short time, he added.
