Coordinator of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement receives death threat in Bogura
Speaking to reporters, Sayem said, “My sister-in-law noticed the writing on the wall and informed me. When I went to check, I saw the message. This has made us very anxious”
A co-coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in Bogura, Ahsan Habib Sayem, reported receiving a death threat.
The message, which read "Prepare for death, coordinator," was discovered on the wall of his residence in Naodapara village under Bogura municipality's Ward-17.
The incident, which occurred last night (23 December), has left Sayem and his family deeply shaken and apprehensive.
Speaking to reporters, Sayem said, "My sister-in-law noticed the writing on the wall and informed me. When I went to check, I saw the message. This has made us very anxious."
He attributed the threat to political motives, saying, "The collaborators of the fascist regime are continuing their conspiracies. They always aim to create crises. I will file a general diary (GD) regarding this issue and demand a fair investigation."
Former coordinator of the movement, Sakib Hasan, expressed concern over the incident, stating, "It's distressing and alarming. Those who fought for the country during the July-August revolution are facing such threats. I have advised Sayem to take legal action."
