ACC sues ex-chairman of Beraid union under Badda thana over illegal wealth
According to the FIR, Jahangir Alam amassed Tk11,79,83,444 crore illegally and concealed the information of more than TK4 crore in his wealth statement submitted to the ACC
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against Jahangir Alam, former chairman of Beraid union under Badda thana in the capital, for amassing huge wealth illegally.
Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya, director and spokesperson of the ACC confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.
He said ACC Assistant Director Saidujjaman filed the case with the coordinated office, Dhaka -1 on Sunday.
According to the FIR, Jahangir Alam amassed Tk11,79,83,444 crore illegally and concealed the information of more than TK4 crore in his wealth statement submitted to the ACC.
The commission filed the case after completion of an investigation in this regard.
