Court dismisses GD against former Nagad MD Tanvir A Mishuk
The GD was dismissed during a hearing on 20 October
A Dhaka court has dismissed a general diary (GD) filed against former Nagad managing director (MD) Tanvir A Mishuk.
"The GD was dismissed during a hearing on 20 October," a source at Banani Police Station told TBS.
On 12 September, the newly appointed Administrator of Nagad Badiuzzaman Didar filed the GD against Tanvir.
In the complaint, Badiuzzaman claimed that Mishuk had texted him on WhatsApp, saying, "You are misusing power illegally. You are trying to humiliate me personally, not professionally or legally. I will keep it in mind brother. Take care. Best wishes for your future."
"I feel threatened by the conversation. I humbly request that the matter be included in the general diary for the future," said Badiuzzaman.
Nagad is a digital financial service of Bangladesh Post Office launched on 26 March 2019.
The central bank in August appointed Badiuzzaman Dider, who served as a director of Bangladesh Bank's Chattogram office, as the administrator of Nagad for a one-year term.
The current management of Nagad is overseen by a board appointed by the Bangladesh Bank.
