Minni denied bail
A Barguna court has rejected the bail petition of Ayesha Siddiqua Minni, the prime witness of sensational Rifat Sharif murder.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Sirajul Islam Gazi denied Minni bail on Sunday after hearing a plea of District Bar Association General Secretary advocate Mahbubul Bari Aslam.
Minni was not present in the court at that time. She is now in Barguna jail.
Minni was arrested on Tuesday night on allegation of her involvement in the gruesome murder of Rifat Sharif.
Later on Thursday, Barguna Superintendent of Police Maruf Hossain told the media that Minni confessed to her crime.
Rifat, 22, was hacked to death by criminals in front of his wife Minni in broad daylight in the district town on June 26. The incident was caught on surveillance camera.
