Supreme Judicial Council submits probe report on 12 justices to president
As per the regulations, the president will now review the Supreme Judicial Council's recommendations
The Supreme Judicial Council has completed its investigation into allegations of violation of the code of conduct against 12 High Court justices and sent a report to President Mohammed Shahabuddin.
The Supreme Court administration disclosed this information on its website today (December 15).

On 16 October, Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed sent 12 High Court justices on leave after demands were raised to remove several judges appointed during the Sheikh Hasina-led regime. The judges were accused of corruption and working as accomplices to the "fascist" Awami League government.
The 12 justices were barred from performing judicial duties on High Court benches. Later, the Supreme Judicial Council, headed by the chief justice, started investigating the allegations against them.
The 12 justices are - Justice Naima Haider, Justice Sheikh Hasan Arif, Justice Ashish Ranjan Das, Justice Mohammad Khurshid Alam Sarker, Justice SM Moniruzzaman, Justice Ataur Rahman Khan, Justice Shahed Nur Uddin, Justice Md Akhtaruzzaman, Justice Md Aminul Islam, Justice SM Masud Hossain Dolan, Justice Khizir Hayat, and Justice Khondaker Diliruzzaman.
